Collection of general information

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider, and similar information. This is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the content of websites requested by you and is mandatory when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us in order to optimize our website and the technology behind it.

Server log files

Server log files are collected and stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically and legally error-free provision of the website, for which the collection of server log files is necessary. The storage period for server log files is 6 months.

Use of SalesViewer® technology:

This website uses SalesViewer® technology from SalesViewer® GmbH on the basis of the website operator’s legitimate interests (Section 6 paragraph 1 lit.f GDPR) in order to collect and save data on marketing, market research and optimisation purposes. 

In order to do this, a javascript based code, which serves to capture company-related data and according website usage. The data captured using this technology are encrypted in a non-retrievable one-way function (so-called hashing). The data is immediately pseudonymised and is not used to identify website visitors personally. 

The data stored by Salesviewer® will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for their intended purpose and there are no legal obligations to retain them.

CAD portal registration

We want to make accessing our extensive collection of construction products and design documents as easy and secure as possible for you. To do so, enter your first name, last name, and email address in the form and confirm your email address via a verification link. Your download will then be activated. We will use your contact details to contact you through our sales department to introduce you to our products and solutions in more detail.

Your data will be processed for the purpose of fulfilling the contract in accordance with our terms of use for the CAD portal and includes the collection and further processing of your data for the purpose of contacting you. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR.

In order to be able to technically implement the controlled provision of our content, we use the cookie “cadportal_login”. This cookie recognizes you as an authorized user during your session and allows you to access the content without having to log in again. This cookie also records the downloads you have made. The storage of and access to information from the cookie is carried out in accordance with Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with the terms of use.

Only our internal departments responsible for the website, activation, and contact (marketing, IT, and sales) have access to the data. No data is passed on to external processors or transferred to third countries.

The personal data of the data subject will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies. Storage may also take place if this has been provided for by European or national legislators in EU regulations, laws, or other provisions to which the controller is subject. The data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfillment of a contract.
We process your data for access control as long as the cookie exists. The cookie is automatically deleted 180 days after your last visit. For the purpose of contacting you, we store your contact and usage data until contact has been made and delete the data as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, but after 180 days at the latest.

You have the right under Art. 18 GDPR to request the restriction of processing if

• you dispute the accuracy of your personal data,
• the processing is unlawful and the data subject opposes the erasure of the personal data and requests the restriction of their use instead,
• the controller no longer needs the personal data for the purposes of processing, but the data subject needs it to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims,
• you may object to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Right to object

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data based on Art. 6 (1) (e) and (f) GDPR. We will then no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that outweigh the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject.
